Meet Our Team

Alex Merriman

Alex Merriman is a newcomer to the insurance and finance industry, having just started his career with New York Life in April 2022. However, a strong influence from his late grandfather, who worked for Prudential, has left Alex hungry to educate and serve those around him to create a lasting impact. Valor offers the opportunity to build his practice through education and proper planning strategies for the individuals and businesses he works with.

Before jumping into the financial industry, Alex managed retail and warehouse environments. He received his B.A. in Studio Art, focused on Painting, with a minor in English from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania.
Alex is actively involved with community events in the Lehigh Valley and frequents the Princeton, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh areas. He is an aspiring philanthropist and hosts an annual fundraiser for cancer entitled “Colors for Cancer” through his painting website.

Alex has lived all across the country and attended eight different schools before his high school graduation. He currently resides in East Bangor, Pennsylvania, with his partner Pam.
