Valor Investments and Planning (VIP) is designed to work with business owners, individuals, trusts, fiduciaries, plan sponsors, and charitable organizations. We are a team of skilled professionals leveraging experience, industry knowledge, and technology to enrich client experience. We plug-in to provide a variety of services and products which include the following:

Asset Management

We work with clients to develop a strategy that suits their needs and specific goals. Client sophistication levels, time horizon, tax environment, risk tolerances, and individual needs direct our portfolio management. Through a toolbox of custodians, access to an impressive catalog of third-party money managers, and industry experience – we tailor nuanced portfolios to meet the criteria established by our clients.

Financial Planning

Through the use of software and a nuanced discovery process, we collaborate with our Planning Center to develop Financial Plans that check the boxes for whatever it is that clients would like to prepare for. We have access to leading industry standard software and programs as well as a proprietary cash-flow based planning software that is customizable at a micro level on a client-by-client based need. We work with the client to help define what the future will look like, identify blind spots in a current trajectory, arrive at reasonable and agreed upon assumptions, a unique set of goals and needs, and begin the process of reverse engineering the successful future clients want.

Every year is another step closer to the target, and our goal is to work with a client on an on-going basis and help them get closer and closer to bullseye every year they take a step closer.

Group Retirement (ie. 401k, 403b, Pension, etc.)

Our partner list and vendor access is fantastic. Group Retirement is no different. We’ve built relationships with a select list of Record Keeper’s that allow for us to utilize an open architecture on group retirement plans. If an employer wants a specific fund family, or ETF even, within their fund-list… we’re capable of slotting them in. Additionally, we assume 3(38) Fiduciary responsibility on plans that plan owners may contract too – allowing us to assume the legal responsibility of the plan and alleviate the plan owner. In addition to record keepers, we’re capable of piggy backing off existing relationships with TPA’s and accounting firms in order to ensure all filing responsibilities are also accounted for. 

Risk Management

We partner with a state licensed General Agency that allows for us to get to market on any non-proprietary insurance products available within the United States. We constantly evaluate the carriers and products available in order to curate our offerings with the most cost effective and responsible carriers. We aren’t captive agents, so we’re not beholden to any one carrier and may shop the market to locate and place the products that fit the use case at hand. We’re experienced with Life, Disability, and Annuities.

Executive Benefits/Non-Qualified Plans

IRS Limits restrict how much money may be saved into qualified plans. We work alongside legal and accounting to aid successful business owners in the design and implementation of executive benefit plans that allow for a class or classes of employees to introduce a non-qualified plan that allows for them to effectively save and potentially defer even more income into their own financial futures.

Fractional CFO

As business grow and develop, they encounter challenges that become increasingly more difficult to overcome. One of those challenges is the growing complexity of financial decision making. The challenge doesn’t originate from an inability for the business owner to make quality decisions about how to grow their business but the ripple effect from those decisions and the implications down the road. We come alongside the business owner as a Fractional CFO on a fee basis. We develop a scope of work, which may be limited to a single tactical decision or an on-going relationship with a certain level of engagement every month. We conduct in-depth discovery, integrate with the business as needed, isolate the important components of the decision-making need, package the findings and suggestion and propose the outline to the business owner for verdict.
